This saying was inspired by a "Veteran" in a truck stop along the Florida coast.
His arm was missing from the elbow
down.
But when asked if he fought in the war, he smiled and proudly said, "YOU BET, I'm a VET".
His pride inspired me to write a poem about it.
Some
time later, I was asked why I didn't put the saying on hats & other merchandise.
So we did!
